Further info will be made available re leagues etc and how our season will be concluded.

Subject to government/Public Health advice, it is likely we will repopen the club house on Saturday 21st March, but will be mindfull of health advice and looking to clear our stock in anticpation of being told to close the clubhouse soon. Watch for further details.

The main function room has been redecorated and the pitch's are looking surprisingly good for this time of the season!

WRFC UPDATE 2 - 17/3/2020

The club summer ball, ladies afternoon tea (postponed to Saturday September 26th) 2 x away match coaches and our mini Festival on 19 April 2020 have been cancelled.

"Rugby activity includes club training, league and cup matches plus rugby education courses from 17 March until 14 April, subject to continued review.

The decision has been taken following government advice in the interests of players, coaches, referees, volunteers, supporters and the wider rugby union community.

Where possible, players at all levels are encouraged to maintain their own personal fitness and keep active during this time, while following government guidelines about safe distance and safe exercise environments.

The RFU will continue to review and monitor government advice and will provide detailed updates on the impact to the season in the coming weeks. "

WRFC response: After carefull consideration, we have agreed that the WRFC gym is still available for use by registered gym members, but subject to adherence with the above safe excerise advice and limited to 3 persons maximum in the gym at any one time to be 'socially distant'.

Regretably, it is only fair given this RFU decision and the above timescales, it is necessary to cancel this years Mini Festival, due to be held on Sunday 19th April. Apologies to all the players. coaches, volunteers and organsiers involved.

The club house is closed this week for maintainance and redecoration and the intention is to open in the main function room (NOT Members Lounge) on Saturday 21st March as normal (subject to Government/RFU advice nearer the time)
