With Rugby Activities suspended and the bar and function room closed Wellingborough Rugby Club have had a significant reduction in revenue but continue to have ongoing costs such as insurance, utilities, security, pitch maintenance, etc. In addition the club hosts a number of events during this time which raise funds for the club which have been cancelled.

Like most clubs we have a certain reliance on our generous sponsors many of whom may be suffering the same issues. So, I believe it is right that we do not solely rely on their continued support although I am sure many will be able to maintain some level of generosity.

We are obviously not alone in this. Most clubs will be suffering the same problems as us and I would expect we are now all in the territory where those with the strongest support will be the best positioned to continue when we can.

Wellingborough Rugby Club has always had a great club spirit and now more than ever we need to draw on that to ensure that the club emerges from this unprecedented global crisis stronger than ever.

We realise that in the current situation, your financial future may be a little uncertain, but we would be very grateful for any donation, large or small, that may help to bridge the gap until we can start playing rugby and hosting community events again.

Thank you for your support.

June Active Daily

Exercise is great for both your physical and mental health. Exercise could be anything and we wanted to pick a challenge that all players, past players, members, supporters, parents etc could take part in and support Wellingborough Rugby Club.

Whether you run, walk, cycle, Joe Wicks, complete a homemade obstacle course , or choose your favourite fitness activity.... take part in something everyday in June to help raise funds for Wellingborough RFC.

If you can make a contribution whether its you, your family, a mini/junior player we ask you make a contribution (Suggestion £10 adult, £5 Mini/Junior) and let us know your taking part and then try and raise some extra money from family and friends.

Then we would love it if you keep us up to date with your progress. Our Social Media accouts are - Facebook and Twitter @WboroRFC and Instagram @Wboro_RFC and be part of our #OneClub effort.

Director of Rugby
